Stolen Dream Keepers: Two Awesome New Acquisitions for The Parliament House

Since opening it's doors late 2016, The Parliament House continues to attract story-tellers from all across the fantasy spectrum, both debut and seasoned.

We are proud to announce our two latest acquisitions coming to bookshelves very soon:

Stolen, by author Marlena Frank:

Shaleigh is tired of dealing with her delusional father. He’s never quite been the same since mom left. Shaleigh was only a baby at the time, but now at sixteen she’s become her father’s caretaker and counselor. Instead of dealing with the stress, she escapes into her photography. With her best friend she explores abandoned buildings and documents their rotting walls and degrading infrastructure. One house she has wanted to visit for a long time has a tree growing out the middle of it, and it’s a treat to finally visit. Only when the two friends split up, she is kidnapped by a creature who is clearly not human. Flying atop of a bicycle, Shaleigh finds herself in another world.

About Marlena:

Marlena grew up being terrified of the dark. As she got older she learned there were far worse monsters walking around, and embraced the darker side of fantasy. An INFJ and perpetually confused RavenPuff, her novella, The She-Wolf of Kanta, comes out in April 2018.

Dream Keeper by Amber R Duell:

The Sandman is seventeen-year-old Nora’s closest friend and best-kept secret—he has to be if she doesn’t want a one-way ticket back to the psychiatrist. It took her too long to learn not to mention the hooded figure in her dreams around her mother, who still watches Nora as if she’ll crack. So when people around Nora start dying gruesome deaths in their sleep, she already knows how her otherworldly suspicions will be received. The Sandman is the only person Nora can turn to for answers, but the truth can sometimes be more than one bargained for.

About Amber:

Amber R. Duell was born and raised in a small town in Central New York. While it will always be home, she’s constantly moving with her husband and two sons as a military wife. Before becoming published, she had a wide range of occupations including banking, bartending (though she’s never tried alcohol), and phlebotomy (though she faints with needles). She also volunteered as a re-enactor at the local Revolutionary War fort and worked near shelter cats which led to her previous crazy cat lady status.

She does her best writing in the middle of the night, surviving the daylight hours with massive amounts of caffeine. Her favorite stories are dark with a touch of romance and a villain you either love to hate or hate to love.

When not reading or writing, she enjoys snowboarding, embroidering, snuggling with her cat, and staying up way too late to research genealogy. She loves to travel and has visited more countries than states. Kissing the Blarney Stone and hand-feeding monkeys in the mountains of France will be hard to beat, but that doesn’t stop her from trying to find the next real-life adventure.
